A Can Do Carnival of HR

Well, the first month of 2013 is gone and before you know it, we’ll be wondering where the year went. But before all that, we have a fun filled year of Carnivals lined up for you and I bet you can’t wait to hear about them all! Well, the latest Carnival of HR is live now and it was all about what HR can do for you. Hosted by Alex Raymond at the Kapta Systems Blog, Alex brought together a great collection of posts that addressed how HR drives results in organizations. So the next time someone refers to HR as just a drain on resources, encourage them to go check out the Carnival here so that you can get back to work making a difference in your own organization!

Coming up quick on February 13th, the Carnival is flying across the ocean for love! Hosted by the dashing and romantic Mervyn Dinnen at his T Recs Blog, Mervyn wants to woo you to participate in this Carnivals romantic theme by whispering the following sweet words in your ear:

“Saint Valentine (in Latin, Valentinus) a widely recognized third century Roman saint commemorated on February 14 and associated since the High Middle Ages with a tradition of courtly love. Well, that’s what it says in Wikipedia so it’s good enough for me! We get lots of bitchin’ and moanin’ in the HR blogosphere so for one day I’m looking for love. It can be any kind of love – love for your job, career, HR policies, boss, CEO, colleague, secretary…hell, even your phone or tablet. Whatever you like. Let’s celebrate what makes your pulses race and your heart flutter about the world of work.”

Aww, it’s just like one of those cute romantic comedies they play non stop on cable this time of year. Quick, someone pass me the tissues! Just remember to get your posts to mervyndinnen at btinternet dot com by Monday, February 11th!
